I went to the Intel website and downloaded the HD Audio drivers that matched my chipset (915P) and that didn't fix it either.įor some reason, I'm thinking that when I install the HD Audio drivers, all of my channels aren't being recognized or something.

I contacted Sony Support and they suggested I restore my computer (I have too much software and important files to make that my first resort). How big of a difference, if any, is there. To make a long story short, I've done everything possible. I recently picked up the Z87 UD4H and noticed most other motherboards in the price range had 1150 instead of 898. Before, it showed all of the outputs I had for the back of my computer and the front panel. As you can see, it only has three outputs. Now it only has 4 buttons and many of the features I had before are missing. MB S1151 Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Ultra Gaming 1.0 (Intel Z170, ATX) 4xDDR4 (3466 (O.C.) MHz memory modules),DVI,HDMI,PCI-Ex.16x2,(16x/4x),PCIEx1x4,6xSATA 6GB/s,Raid (0/1/5/10),1x M.2. Click here and you'll see how it looked before. Now I have another problem, my 2 rear speakers aren't recognized!!!! Also, sound manager still looks the same, but it has few options then I had intially. Well, I downloaded it and saved it to my computer. So, I thought I'd go to Realteks website and download the latest driver. Nevertheless, I opened Sound Manager and thought I'd see if there was a configuration I could fix. Well, I had updated the drivers before and had never tested out the front panel mic jack to see if it was working correctly, so it may have actually been like this for a while. It wasn't working in the front panel mic jack for some reason, but it would work in the back. When I am playing back sound, any sound, be it games, music or movies, my sound. and it doesnt have anything on my problem. It looks like it is set to use the build in Realtek audio from my motherboard, but doesnt.

Download and install the latest REALTEK HD AUDIO driver, you might just need Realtek. This should apply to all audio across the system when using headphones. Well, yesterday I had a friend over and we were doing some recording on the microphone. No sound on front jack but I have it on the back panel. If you play games like Half-Life, CS on Win10 you might have noticed that sounds are very quiet, generally rifles being louder than footsteps you can fix this if you have Realtek Audio. It has a font panel where a mic and headphones can be connected as well. It has a back panel where the speakers can be connected, a mic, and other things. My computer came with Realtek Sound Manager. It came with 5 speakers (2-front 2-back 1-center) and a subwoofer.
